What is a LPO Refuge ?

An LPO Refuge is a public or private plot of land on which the owner undertakes to protect nature in the vicinity. Created in 1921 by the Ligue de Protection des Oiseaux, the Refuges LPO programme is the first national network of ecological gardens. By registering as an LPO refuge, we have signed a moral charter committing us to various actions in favour of the protection of nature and biodiversity, such as - installation of nesting boxes throughout the park (currently about fifteen) - diversification of the garden layout to encourage the installation of different species of animals (birds, hedgehogs, squirrels, etc.) - reducing our impact on the environment by sorting our waste and installing water-saving showers - Reducing the use of chemicals in the household and not using them in the garden In winter you can enjoy watching the birds at their feeder while having breakfast in the veranda.
